The most important rights to me are freedom of religion, speech, and press. These are important to me because without these rights we can have whatever religion, we can say whatever we want (with limitations) but these let us speak our mind and they really change to country. The government has done a good job on protecting our rights.

I agree Ryan. Freedom of religion is a major key right now in America. As we look around the world, you see countries like Scotland, and other areas such as ISIS who want to force their religion and beliefs on others. In the case of freedom of speech, most countries are not allowed to say how they feel about their government or what is happening in their country. Freedom of speech can make you or break you and the Holocaust is a great example of that. They were afraid to voice who they really are, saying if they were a Jew or not. They knew the consequences of their beliefs and therefore they were put to shame for the truth and for lying. I am glad to be apart of America, because , as limited, our government still gives us freedoms that we deserve and focuses on natural law itself.

The rights that are most important to me are freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. These rights are important to me, because I believe that everyone should have a right to what religion they want to follow, and they should be allowed to say what they want, as long as it doesnt harm anyone else.

I would protect all of my rights except the ones that would/could bring harm to others such as the the 2nd amendment. My favorite amendment is VI because it lets you have your peers have be on a jury for you. We can balance it by obviously not doing the wrong thing even though it may involve messing with the will of the majority. They generally have protected my rights, and so I have nothing to complain about yet. Your rights are always threatened by other peoples rights, and the government too.

amendment 2nd (the right to bear arms) this is most important to me because if citiizens dont have the power to protect themselves the government could take advantage or local security for citizens would not be secure, yes the 2nd amendment could harm others if it is abused by someone, the government does protect rightsas well as try to take them away. i do not feel my rights are threatened

I think all my natural rights are important to me, I would like to fight and protect my freedom or speech, religion, petition, and speech basically the first 10 amenments because there are our natural individual right as u.s citizens and everyone deserves these rights.I think the government has done a good job protecting hese rights but problems that face our rights is that people take advantage of them and some people don't even know them or don't understand them fully which is a big problem and could even threaten them.

The rights that are most important to me are freedom of speech, religion, search and seizure, double jeopardy, and cruel and unusual punishment. I would fight to protect these rights because they protect us from the government. Although the enjoyment of my rights can bring harm to others, rights are a guarantee by the government, so they have to protect them. Maintaining a focus on the greater good while protecting individual rights is a hard thing to do. You just have to look at the majority and decide what is best for the country.

What if the majority wants to exile people they feel shouldn't be in the country (ie, illegal immigrants, or a certain race)? what then should the government do? Law abiding citizens have no reason to fear searches of their homes. If these searches could stop 80% of the crime would it not be best to allow them to happen? Who decides what cruel and unusual is?

The most important rights to me are stated in the first amendment. These rights are important to me because if we submit ourselves into society for the protection of our property than we at least deserve the basic freedoms and rights of speech, assembly, religion, petition ,etc. I think that the government has done a good job in protecting my rights as an individual since I have personally not had any problems considering them.

The rights that are most important to me are rights protecting free speech, religion, press, petition, and assembly. I believe these are the most important because they insure that we will always have a chance to express how we as a people feel when in times of depression. This also helps us to get in touch with our government so that they can make laws according to what the common people demand.

A right that I feel is most important to me is the right to free speech. The ability to tell others about what I think is right that is essential to not only me , but everyone. Without free speech I wouldn't be allowed to be unique. If everything you wear, say, sing, or write were violations of free speech? What would you be left with that makes you unique?

One of the most important rights to me would be the right of free speech. Without this right, many groups and individuals would not be able to voice their opinions, and many undesirable actions made by the government would not have a chance to be undone. One of the main rights I would fight to protect would be the right for African-Americans to vote. In order for society to balance the needs of the many with the needs of the few, there must be a compromise that at least partially benefits both parties.

These are also some of the rights I would fight for because they give me the freedom to express myself and say what I want within the society. The enjoyment of my rights could bring harm to people, if I cause danger in a public place or express something harmful or subjective to a person, race or religion and cause a public riot.

I don´t want to limit the rights that are important to me to only one. I think all the rights are important and worth fighting for, although some are more important than others. If the rights wouldn´t be important they wouldn´t exist, probably except for the 18th Amendment. I don´t think having your rights should harm other, because these people have rights too. I think the American as well as the German government is doing a great job on protecting my rights. I never felt like the government was threatening my rights.

The most important right to me is the First Amendment, which gives us the freedom of religion, speech, press, and petition. Because of these rights we have the right to express ourselves individually and are able to have a say in the government. Even those this a right certain things people can say can cause offense and overpower the minority. To balance this they do have laws that define when these rights are being abused by the people. Overall the Government has done a good job on protecting the rights of the citizens.

All of my rights are very important to me, but right now my first amendment rights are most important. Those are the rights that I would fight for, and leave the country if I lost the fight. The irresponsible enjoyment of any rights could bring harm to another, and this is shown in the government setting up a system for majority and minority rights. I personally do not think that the government has protected all of my rights, because it seems to be passing laws and ignoring parts of the Constitution.

The rights most important to me are those included in the first and ninth amendments and the civil rights amendments. I'd fight to protect my civil rights because being a black person in today's society it is easy to be deprived or ignored in certain aspects or topics. So, I'd protect these rights so I feel a little more equal to those who feel superior because of their race or wealth. The enjoyment of my rights can bring others harm by provoking anger or unhappiness in my satisfaction. Society can balance the will of the majority with the rights of the few by protecting the individual rights of the few so they feel fair to the liberties of the majority. I can say so far that the government has done its duty in protecting my individual rights and liberties. My rights can be threatened if I commit a crime or am caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. Our government does a well performing job than to governments of some other countries.

The most important rights to me are In the first amendment. I enjoy my freedoms. I can say what I want to say. (Freedom of Speech) If I had to conceal my thoughts I would explode. I’ve never been one to accept something unfair. I believe that everyone should be allowed to say what they want to say whether people agree with it or not. Of course people can’t comletly say what they want to say. I can’t walk in a bank and go “ Okay give me the money or i’ll shoot!” People can’t do anything that might cause harm or panic to other people. Our society has to match what most people want and what few people want. We have to try to make everyone happy. In order to do this we have to come up with agreements that everyone likes. The government has done a pretty good job of protecting my freedom of speech (except for that one time when we went to D.C and cop from the secret service yelled at me for taking a picture of his car).

I feel as of everyone should be allowed to be able to do whatever religion they want and say what they want as long as it does not harm others. I definitely believe that the enjoyment of my rights can case harm to others as well as visa versa. Things that people are given a right to can sometimes cause fear or panic to others, which sometimes may get out of hand. Rights that I believe have the most value to me are my freedom of speech, freedom of the press and most importantly my freedom of religion because they all drive a great force. What one says can change things entirely either for greater good or the destruction of a nation. One's religion can determine their fate and citizens can be continually informed and aware of what is going on based upon the press in which people are exposed to. The government has done a sustainable job protecting the rights of all citizens although all rights aren't equally guaranteed to all people.

The most important rights to me are those guaranteed by the 1st and 14th amendments. These rights can harm others depending on how they are used. For that reason, the government has to balance the majority and the minority rights by regulating these rights. The government's purpose is to protect the people an their rights but with so many different people it is hard to do both. The problem is that not everyone in the government is looking out for the good of the people. That's why we sometimes feel as if that we all do not receive justice in our government.. This is a continuous process and we as a people have to take action.

We as a society protect individual rights while maintaining focus on the greater good by bringing awareness to what’s going on and get others to try to stop it. Our rights are strictly to protect us and keep us safe, and we are not protecting them. We have to find solutions and make people care about their individual rights and freedoms!

My first amendment rights are the most important to me. I would fight for these rights if they have been infringed upon. Some people do use their rights in a way that may hurt others. I believe that in this case, the exercise of those rights may be infringed in order to protect the general public. The government helps to prevent the tyranny of the majority by allowing the minority to express their opinions as well. The majority cannot influence the passing of laws that will interfere with the rights of a minority. On a legal standard, I believe that the government has done its job with protecting my rights. However, on a civil, community basis I think we all suffer from discrimination and at times have our rights abused by other citizens.

We protect individual rights by having the Constitution and the Amendments. The Constitution has guidelines for our government and restrictions on what can and cannot be done. The Bill of Rights and the other Amendments further restrict the government and give further give rights to the people. All of the rights and freedoms that we have are very important. These rights can be restricted if what you are doing can cause harm to others. The job of the government is to protect your rights, and that is what these documents help to do.

5. The rights that are most important to me are the rights that were protected under the first amendment, the 19th amendment; all of my rights are important to me. I would right to protect each of my rights, especially my 19th amendment. In some cases, the enjoyment of my rights can bring harm to others. For example, if I say something that reflects my freedom of speech, it could possibly offend the person next to me. Our society can balance out everyone’s rights by not just giving rights to the majority, and by creating policies that apply to the minority as well.

Love this site. The only issue is when discussing and trying to decide what "freedom" really means, is very hard. I always tried to impress the fact that freedom of speech does not mean that you can say whatever you want at any time you want. As a teacher (and parent), no cursing, abusive or vulgar language was allowed..so yes, I was limiting their freedom of speech, but teaching that respect for all people was something that they should strive to have. Now, I am talking about convincing middle school students that I had the freedom to set some rules as an adult but was willing to listen to their point of view....

My right to freedom of speech and expression is most important to me, and I would fight very hard to maintain this right. Sadly, my opinions, along with how I present them, may enrage or offend people. The government will favor the rights of certain people, depending on the situation. Sometimes the majority will be favored because that is the most common request, but sometimes the minority is favored, so that we don't offend some people. Both of these can be unfair to the other group, and can threat the rights of others. The government does their best to ensure the rights of all people, but they cannot make every single person happy.

In order to balance the will of the majority and minority, it's important that there is an equal protection of rights, and observe the circumstance constitutionally, in order to truly protect the actual rights of the oppressed. I would say yeah, the government is doing a decent job, but there are cases, such as the Edward Snowden case, where the constitutional standards aren't being met. The security issues currently occurring are beginning to threaten some of these rights I mentioned.

My freedom of speech is most important to me. The right to say whatever I want about anything I please is pretty nice. Some rights can hurt others, the free press could make a riot-inducing article and end people into a frenzy. The rights of the country as a whole should always come first. We can do this be not being so freaking sensitive about everything, and acting like every little thing offends you or is interfering with your rights. The government has done a decent job protecting our rights. They've messed up big-time in the past but they're getting better.

The most important rights to me are freedom of speech. This is important to me because without this right we cant say whatever we want and it lets us speak our mind. The government has done a good job on protecting our rights.

The most important right that is important to me is freedom of religion because as citizens we should have the right to believe in any religion we want to and it guarantees that people may hold any political views they like. I also think freedom of assembly is important because people can have their own statement.

My freedom of speech and my freedom of religion are most important to me. This is because I have to say what I want. I can't keep things bottled up or else I just start to get depressed or frustrated. I have to have freedom of religion too because I want to be able to believe in what I want and not what someone tells me to believe in. I would fight to protect both of these rights because they mean a lot to me. The enjoyment of my rights could bring harm to another. For example if I was to talk about someone (freedom of speech) that could hurt their feelings thus causing harm to them. Our country can balance the will of majority by passing laws and having courts to determine the rights of the minority. I believe the government has done a great job protecting our rights because we have had these same rights and earned many more in the past 200 years. My rights are only threatened at war I would think because they have to cut freedom of speech so certain information about the military doesn't get out.

Freedom of religion, speech, and press. These freedoms are the 3 best freedoms because they allow us to speak our minds and be able to have a voice and change the way we live in this country of ours.

I wouldn't say one right is more important than another. Therefore, I can't say which is my favorite because I exercise them daily. I would fight to protect my rights of speech and and of religion. The government has attempted its job in protecting me and as of now they have done all that they are able to do. My rights are threatened when someone harms me. They violate my right of pursuit of happiness.

The rights that are most important to me is my freedom of speech, press, liberty and religion. I would fight to protect my freedom of speech, liberty and "pursuit of happiness". No my rights cannot harm others. Our society can balance the majority rights of the few by stopping whatever the majority is doing so that they do not exclude the few. Yes for now. Rights are threatened by other individuals that do not agree with your beliefs.

The most important right to me is the right to freedom of speech.I would fight for my rights because without rights the government could do whatever they want which could be bad.We can balance rights with the will of the majority by making rights that apply for all and are wanted by the people. Also they can create rights that are in everyone's interest. the government has done a good job protecting my rights. My rights might be threatened based when my rights are being based on religion or race .

I think i would fight for freedom of speech the most, since everyone else is allowed to speak what they want, we should as well. The world does not run on one opinion, and even if it did, there would be no variety whatsoever, making everyone and everything the same. With the freedom of speech, people can voice what they feel or what they believe in without being scared to say what they want.Freedom of speech does have its cons as well, such as different opinions from different people can lead to disagreements, causing a bit of insecurity between them and some hostility. The government happens to have a good job of keeping track of freedom of speech, whether of not if it is good or not.

We protect our individual rights by finding someone to hold them them against us and protect the liberty that they cannot be taken away. A hierarchy shows us the truths our our right and when we feel like our rights are being threatened we get rid of the source of the problem and look for a new protection. We focus on the greater good by also looking for those who are willing to better our community, our people, our country. Protect our well being as a duty to serve your people for the time that you have and to prove to them that you are doing your reasons of choice for the greater good.

I don't really have a favorite right. I believe that I and everyone else use all of our rights everyday and if we had to fight for them I believe we would. I don't think my rights can harm anyone else. The government has done a pretty good job of protecting my rights

We often tend to try and find a happy balance in order to please the majority even though it may upset a smaller majority.

The most important human rights are the right to life, right to freedom of speech, right to have a good standard of living, right for equal pay for equal work. The human rights and freedom ought to be preserved at all cost. And people must fight for their rights because if they don't do this they allow illegal actions to triumph.
